What Is The Session About?
This CPD aims to equip adult educators and learning and development professionals with a foundational understanding of Scenario-Based Learning (SBL) and its application in the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector. Participants will learn the core principles of designing basic SBL scenarios, focusing on effective learning of procedural knowledge, including setting objectives, creating context, and incorporating decision points.
They will gain practical skills in developing simple branching narratives and will be introduced to user-friendly GenAI tools to aid in the creation process. By the end of the course, learners will be able to apply these skills to design and integrate basic SBL activities into their existing or new training programmes, thereby enhancing learner engagement, promoting active learning, and fostering better application of knowledge in their work.
