What Is This Session About?

AI offers opportunities beyond content generation—it can transform how workplace learning is designed, delivered, and managed. This programme equips adult educators and workplace learning professionals to redesign workflows and build custom AI-supported systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and learner support.

Participants learn to identify high-value automation opportunities, analyse educator workflows, and prototype practical AI assistants using Google AI tools while maintaining human oversight and ethical decision-making. Through workflow mapping, hands-on prototyping, implementation planning, and collaborative feedback, learners develop scalable solutions tailored to their own professional contexts.

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to design and implement AI-supported workflow systems that streamline educator tasks, enhance workplace learning processes, and support sustainable innovation across their organisations.

Together with Thought Leader with Google AI: Building Your Educator Brand and Professional Presence, this programme forms the advanced tier of the IAL-Google (ADAPT) series. Participants who complete both programmes will receive a joint IAL-Google certificate.

What Does The Session Cover?

Most educators use AI in isolated, one-off ways, missing the larger opportunity to transform how their work actually flows. This is not another prompt course; it is a workflow redesign and prototyping course aimed at repeatable, scalable improvement. This advanced course moves participants from individual AI use to building scalable, custom AI-supported systems. Participants learn to analyse and redesign workplace learning workflows, then prototype custom solutions using Gemini Gems, Gemini Canvas, and Google AI Studio.

Anchored in IAL’s ADAPT at the Advanced level, the course keeps the focus on systems that genuinely improve efficiency, consistency, learner support, and collaboration, not automation for its own sake. Through hands-on prototyping, workflow-redesign challenges, and implementation planning, participants leave able to design and integrate AI-supported workflow systems into their educational and workplace practice, while maintaining ethical oversight, human judgement, and quality-assurance safeguards.

Who Is It Suitable For?

This advanced programme is designed for professionals involved in workplace learning, operational improvement, and educational technology innovation, including:

  • Adult educators, trainers, and facilitators seeking to automate repetitive learning and administrative workflows
  • Instructional designers and learning experience designers interested in building AI-supported workflow systems
  • Learning and Development (L&D) professionals responsible for scalable workplace learning and learner support processes
  • Team leaders and managers involved in workflow improvement, onboarding, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Education professionals interested in using AI
